My dream....

First, listen to this song Dream by Patricia Ahn....

Second let me tell you a little story.....
When I was very little I spent much of my time at the feet of my grandmother when she would create..... She taught me to sew, sent me to painting classes and always had all the supplies we needed to be a teacher, lawyer, doctor and grocery store owner....{ this was my imagination overload}. We used to make handcrafted items and sell them at local craft fairs. When I was about 13, we had a space at a craft fair and I decided to take a break. There was this cute little house across the street filled with hand made crafts and supplies to make the items and a classroom. I remember telling myself one day I will have my own shop and it will look like this.

Now here I am in southern Louisiana miles away from California where all my dreams began and I am so far from that dream coming true.... But....You know what that dream has evolved into something so much more. More than anything I could have ever imagined.
I started scrapbooking almost 8 years ago and have come a long way. Creativity has just always been such a huge part of my life. I began Faith 365....cause we gotta have Faith 365 days a year. We gotta know that even in dark times that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I began holding a small meeting with my church to teach some of the ladies at church to scrapbook. I started off with 1 and now have so many sweet, loving, loyal and amazing friends. Locally and on the world wide web. I have taught at local stores and held large weekend events and know that my dream though different from when I was 14 has come true. We all have gifts and talents. I know God has given me a gift and the desire of my heart is to share and encourage woman to find their gift to nurture and share with others. We all could learn so much from each other.

I am better than I once was but not as good as I will be!!!!!
Always keep growing and stretching your faith!

I love to see the look on someones face when they have joined a class and created a beautiful work of art and they can't believe they have done it....They are overjoyed and amazed and secure with themselves. My life has been a journey of some pretty crazy twists and turns but I know without a shadow of a doubt I am right where I am supposed to be. I am perfectly content with everything about my life. I am content just being ME!

I began holding larger events last year. We have had 2 events, both with amazing testimony of just what scrappin' is all about. Faith in ourselves and each other, Friendships to last a lifetime and a ton of creative fun.
