Have you ever started a project and then just set it aside, only for it to get lost in the shuffle of everything in life......
I am not one to start a project and not finish it. Last Thanksgiving I purchased 3 wood frames that had fall pictures inside each little section of the frame. A wall decoration. They were 90% off so I paid .75 cents. I had the idea to alter them. I loved the frame itself but I am not one to decorate for Thanksgiving. Well in December some friends and I went to the retreat house in Lake Charles. I was able to get the paper inside the different sections of the frames but put them aside to finish later.....Well.....4 months later they are finished...I knew what I wanted to do and I had the supplies, I just could not find the time. one thing after another after another after another. I added a small clothes pin to the frame so now it can be a picture or memo holder.
Close ups...
Oh, the things you can do with clothes pins....
So here is what I am going to do with them...
Leave me a comment here and tell me what project you have lingering.....finish it.....share it with me and one of your happy comments will be randomly selected and the winner will be able to choose one of the memo holders as a gift from me for finishing the project. I need a link to your project.... I will give you til next Monday....That is one week from today.
Love you and happy creating, Amy
First off Amy, Those are just beautiful!!!! I love the victorian look of them. If you could please send me a close up shot I would love to try and make one for my living room. I am being crafty changing it to victorian. I figured the boys are getting older so now I can go feminine. hee...hee....If I were to tell you of my unfinished project well it would be my sandcastle ring book. I am sooooooooo slow at it. I always say I will get back to it and well it gets over looked and I start on something else. Go figure!
ReplyDeleteWell these are just lovely and you did fabulous on them. Have a super week.
smiles...Tammy
Love these memo holders and I am so glad that I am not the only one who takes a while to finish things. I posted on my blog about the quilt that I just finished - I pieced it in 2004, put it away when we were packing up after the hurricanes, and finally quilted and bound it - finishing it the last days of March this year - and now it is on our bed! Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteGREAT memoholders!!! Love it! But you won't find any unfinished bussiness with me either.... I'm with Julie here! I leave a project lying for one or two days sometimes, but that's because I like to take a fresh look in the morning. I always finish my projects. There's one thing... I have a Leonard Cohen Art Journal that needs one page done before I can bind it together. I know the song for that page, and I have the photo "in my head". I just can't seem to find the image that I want. It lays waiting 'till I stumble upon that pic, and then I'll finish it. But that's something different from what you mean, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteLove those, Amy! Soooo CUTE! My fav is the one with the dress form... go figure!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful day!
